This is one of the three flags that flew over the Twin Towers on 9-11. This flag was given to the Cheyenne River Veterans Associations (CRVA) to be presented to the public as a Rememberance Flag for the War on Terrorism that is continuing today. More about the 9-11 flag here.


Korea Veteran Members of the South Dakota Army National Guard Military Funeral Honors team fold an American flag during the burial ceremony for Sgt. 1st Class Arthur F. "Bluie" Jewett at St. Theresa Catholic cemetery near White Horse, S.D. Jewett, a member of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe, was killed-in-action during the Korean War's Chosin Reservoir campaign and his remains were not identified until recently.
